When your sick with a cold

or bronchitis or a sinus infection or any other junk that involves boogies and/or cough....it is a real pain!

Yes, I am whining....I am in that whining mood. I have bronchitis and when you have SS it seems to be a bit worse. Everything is dry to begin with and when you get a cold it is an automatic that it will turn into a sinus infection or bronchitis.

On a good note I finally have a family doctor. I know that I should have one, but when you see so many specialists and work for a hospital that provides free care for minor illnesses...who needs one?

ME! No one wants to touch me with all my problems as far as the LPN I can see for colds and stuff for free at the hospital. And the specialists don't want to be bothered with the small stuff.

I liked my family doctor. She seems real and easy to talk to. She was ordinary looking and was about my size.....which is not perfect. LOL

Amazingly, she seemed to know a bit about Sjogrens.

Yes, I have a family doctor! Woo-hoo!

Sorry for the rambling...I'll blame the robotussin with codine.

Yay Family Doctor!!! It is always good to have one you like and can build a working relationship with. And it is great that he is familiar with SS. Even better!!

I can't believe how great ALL my doctors are. I keep trying to get my parents to switch to a doctor in their practice because they are all so great.

I also can't believe how crappy my luck is. I started prednisone on 3/25 and got a cold right away! My rheumy wanted to start me on Cellcept this week, but now I have to wait until whatever infection I have is gone (wheezing...bronchitis?). I got to add a Z-pack and a mouthwash for oral thrush to my list of drugs.

I hope you (and I) feel better soon!

Prednisone...yuk! I eat everything in sight and get very moody on it. LOL I am on cellcept as you probably know and it has brought my numbers down pretty good. You need to take it on an empty stomach. It can cause a "runny" side effect, although I have not ran into that problem. It does make my stomach a bit ill at times, but it goes away if I am able to lay down for 15-20 minutes. I love it and after transplant I will be on higher doses.
Hope you get to feeling better soon. I am on day 3 of the z-pack and I noticed a huge difference today.
